What Is Cerec?
Check out this brief video I made for my father's website to explain the what Cerec is and the process of fabricating a crown.
The slides below you will find Cerec cases that I fabricated for my fathers patients. I acted as the lab; fabricated the models, scanned into the computer, milled the crowns and finalized for delivery. Through the cases each had its own set of challenges to shape and color perfectly and specifically for that individual.

I had the opportunity to mentor my colleagues at school on how to use the cerec machine - blue cam. I showed them how to scan, design, and mill a crown.
A 76 year old female presents with a chief complaint of "I don't like my front crown and my side tooth." The patient was concerned with the PFM on 9 and the composite on 7, which was addressed by restoring 7-10 with Cerec Emax crowns. A picture of the pt was uploaded into the Cerec crown design program with a feature called Smile Design. The Picture is match up to a 3D rendering using reference points and matching the smile with the scan of the arch. The Smile design feature allows the providers to view how the restoration will look in the patients mouth before milling.
