Plaque Sabbath

I have been playing the drums since 2000 and finally found a group to play within dental school. Our class band called ourselves Plaque sabbath but ironically have never played a Black Sabbath cover yet.
We have played at the battle of the bands, school picnics, oral cancer runs, and many other events. This has been an outlet for my friends and I to share our love for music.
I was traditionally a classic rock drummer, playing to tracks of my favorite songs. Through playing with a group of very talented musicians I developed my abilities to improvise and explore other genres of music.
Playing in the band has been an impactful experience leading me to grow more confident to be in front of large groups of people and sharing the art of music.
Cruzin' Susan
I was first exposed to sailing on a family vacation to the beach where we rented a small sailboat called a Hobie Cat. The winds were strong making sailing an exhilarating experience and having me hooked. I learned more about how to sail, directing the sails and navigating at a summer camp in Washington D.C. Since my initial exposure to sailing I had wanted a sailboat of my own to which I needed to wait for the perfect opportunity.
I found the perfect project sailboat in a maria near Chesapeak beach, It had been abandoned for 12 years and still had most of the components needed to sail. I started by repainting the hull, and the top deck. The repairs were costly so they were made over time. I named the boat the Cruzin' Susan after my mom, as sailing was a time that we enjoy to spend together. I have also restored the inside of the cabin by replacing the window and gluing new headliner to the ceiling.
Each repair came with its own sets of challenges including the most difficult, the materials, adhesives, paints etc. Each material had a purpose and use which if used correctly would lead to the prolonged success of the project.
